Mary Ann Williamson, member of Tungsten Baptist Church, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at her home surrounded by family.

She was a native of Granville County and the daughter of the late Willie and Fleda Faucette. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Watkins Williamson.

She spent her wonderful eighty-two years farming, picking in her garden, canning vegetables, visiting with friends, loving and being loved by her family, and making her famous homemade biscuits.

Survivors include one son: Lawrence “Possum” Williamson; three daughters: Wanda W. Matthews (Danny Ray), Sherry W. Compton (Craig), and Cathy W. Hughes (Norman); six grandchildren: Kelly C. Burton, Amanda M. Twisdale, Jessica C. Ward, Carly M. Cox, Abby Hughes and Tyler Hughes; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Annie F. Peoples and Hazel F. Taylor.

Visitation services will be held Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 17, 2015 at Eakes Chapel with eulogy by Preacher Sam Brewer. Burial will follow at the Royster Family Cemetery in Bullock. Family will be receiving visitors at other times at the home.
